Homicide Detectives Investigate Woman's Death at Ramona Mobile Home Park

Elderly woman found in home with signs of trauma.

Sheriff's homicide detectives are investigating the death of an elderly woman at a mobile home park in Ramona on Tuesday. They are expected to be there "late into the night" a spokesman told Patch.

Paramedics found the woman's body in the back bedroom of the home in Ramona Terrace Estates in the 1200 block of H Street. The body shows "obvious signs of trauma" according to Sheriff's Lt. Larry Nesbit. He did not go into further details.

Ramona Fire Department paramedics called the homicide unit after they responded to a medical aid at the home. The homicide team has been waiting for a search warrant before entering the home. They have been in contact with the woman's relatives. It's believed the woman is a resident of the home.
