Highway Patrol Recruiting for Explorer Program in Oceanside

People ages 15 to 20 with an interest in a law enforcement career can attend an open house Jan. 19.

The Oceanside area office of the California Highway Patrol invites young men and women interested in law enforcement to attend an open house at their office to learn more about the Explorer Program.

Explorers help the CHP in various functions including assisting during ride-alongs with officers, helping office staff, recruiting, and traffic control at special events.

Candidates must be 15 to 20 years old and have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0.
