Cedar Creek Falls to Reopen Next Friday After 2-Year Closure

The trail closed after a teenager died in July 2011.

The Ramona side of Cedar Creek Falls will reopen next Friday after a nearly two-year closure, according to a U-T San Diego report.

The trail closed July 2011 after a 16-year-old hiker died when he fell down a steep cliff, according to authorities.

Although the trail will reopen, officials will now charge a $6 visitor permit fee and the number of permits will be limited, according to the newspaper.
