Ramona Airport Manager Bo Donovan Has Passed Away

Manager, Thomas Becker (known as "Bo Donovan"), passed away Tuesday at age 67. He was a Ramona resident.

Donovan had worked for the County as a contract manager for both Ramona and Fallbrook airports. He started at Ramona Airport eight years ago and then picked up Fallbrook, according to the County Director of Airports, Peter Drinkwater.

"We are all extremely sad to hear of his passing," Drinkwater told Patch. "Bo was larger than life. We will always remember him for the wonderful things he did for County airports."

Drinkwater said Donovan was known throughout the airport communities for his professionalism and generosity.

"He could always be counted on for his support and going the extra mile for his customers," Drinkwater said. "Bo was quick to laugh and brought out the best in everyone. He presented the best of San Diego County airports."

In May 2011, Ramona Patch ran  on Donovan.
