Teen Arrested for Challenging a Fight, Deputies Break Up Large Group of High Schoolers

Deputies broke up a group of 50-100 Ramona High School students after school Monday, and arrested a youth for challenging an adult to a fight.

Deputies arrested a local juvenile for challenging an adult to a fight Monday afternoon after officers broke up a large group of high school students in front of the Silverado Apartments, according to the Sheriff's Department.

Word spread around Ramona High School Monday that there would be a fight in the general area of the apartments (511 14th St.), and the school informed the Sheriff's Department, said Sgt. John Boyce.

He said deputies broke up a large group of 50-100 high school students after school Monday, but no actual fight occurred.
