A teenage girl riding an offroad motorcycle in Ramona late Monday afternoon was taken to hospital with a head injury, according to Ramona Fire Department.
Two teen girls were on the motorcycle on Penn Street—an unpaved road off Magnolia Avenue—when the bike flipped backwards, according to Captain Robert McLaughlin of Fire Station 80.
The other girl appeared uninjured, he said.
The injured teen—who had been on the back of the motorcycle—had a laceration, which did not appear serious, McLaughlin told Patch. He assessed the injury as moderate at the time. She was headed to Palomar Hospital by ground ambulance.
Paramedics were dispatched to the scene at approximately 5 p.m.
