Slick Roads, High Speeds Cause 3-Car Accident on San Vicente

One driver was transported to Palomar Medical Center.

A three-car accident on San Vicente Road Thursday afternoon sent one driver to the hospital, Cal Fire Engineer Rocky Voll said.

The accident, which occured just before 1 p.m. east of Wildcat Canyon Road, was caused by high speeds on slick roads, California Highway Patrol said.

According to CHP Officer Dan Matthews, the driver of a green Dodge pickup truck was eastbound on San Vicente Road, lost control and crossed over the the double yellow line, swiping a black Nissan Altima in the westbound lane, the Ramona Sentinel reported.

A gray Toyota Tundra pickup truck was following the Dodge and served to the right, ending on the south side of the road, the paper said.

The drivers of all three cars were the only people involved, according to Cal Fire. Voll said a female driver was transported to Palomar Medical Center in stable condition with minor injuries.
