Red Flag Alert for Parts of San Diego County Beginning Midnight

Wind gusts up to 50 mph expected from midnight Thursday to 2 p.m. Friday.

High winds and low humidity are causing Ready San Diego to issue a Red Flag Alert for potentially dangerous fire weather conditions in the county, especially in Cleveland National Forest.

Ready San Diego is a collaboration of the County of San Diego Office of Emergency Services and Homeland Security.

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for parts of San Bernardino and Riverside counties, the Inland Empire and Santa Ana Mountains, for humidity in the single digits and strong, gusty winds expected to cause "significant fire risk."
