Ramonans Can Prepare for Wildflire at Special Community Meeting

The meeting will be held with local law enforcement in the San Diego Country Estates on July 16.

With wildfire season starting early this year, and the recent fire near Main Street this weekend, Ramonans should be more prepared than ever for another major fire. A community meeting is being held next week with local emergency first responders to help residents be better prepared for a potential disaster.

The wildfire preparedness community meeting will be held in the San Diego Country Estates and will give Ramonans a chance to meet, hear and question local fire, law enforcement and animal service professionals. Resources will be available that can help you make informed decisions in case of an emergency.

Participants Include:

  • Ramona Sheriff’s Substation: Lt. James Bovet
  • Cal Fire: Battalion Chief Randy Scales, Fire Marshal/Chief Saul Villagomez (representing RMWD)
  • Ramona District Chief: Battalion Chief Burke Kremensky
  • California Highway Patrol: Sergeant Amado Macias
  • County Office of Emergency Services: Stasia Place Richardson
  • County Department of Animal Services: Lt. Laura Ward
  • Humane Society: Lt. Melyssa Jones
  • Ramona CERT
The meeting will be held on July 16, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the San Vicente Room located at 24157 San Vicente Rd.
