Ramona Robbery Suspect Flees After Dropping Cash Register

A young man steals cash from Nancy's Cleaners on Main Street. He remains at large as of Monday night.

A man dropped a cash register he was trying to take from a Ramona dry cleaner business Monday but still got away with some cash that he picked up from the floor, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

The man entered Nancy's Cleaners, at 1668 Main Street, about 12:45 p.m. and grabbed the cash register from the counter, said sheriff's Sgt. Daniel Vengler.

He dropped the register while trying to leave the business, but picked up a small undetermined amount of cash and ran northeast from the shopping center, Vengler said. No one was injured, Vengler said.

He was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, black shorts and a black baseball cap.
