A woman in Ramona has filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, according to U-T San Diego.

Brooke Fantelli is accusing a BLM ranger for "excessive force" during an incident in an Imperial County desert last year. The lawsuit also claims the ranger discriminated against her because she is transgender, according to the newspaper.

Certainly appears to be a hate crime against a cooperative citizen. I don't know Ms. Fantelli but I would certainly expect anyone to be treated within the civil rights granted. Outrageous when the bad guys get the badges.
