Ramona Man Who Died in Scooter Accident Tuesday Identified

A Ramona man who died at Highway 78 and Ash Street on Tuesday has been identified as Harold Lloyd Calhoun.

He was a white male age 73, according to the Medical Examiner's Office.

Authorities say Calhoun was driving on Ash Street when he failed to yield at the intersection and was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound to Escondido on Highway 78. Medics pronounced him dead when they arrived.

Calhoun was a widower. His wife, Arlene Garner, was interred at in November 2011. The cemetery is on Ash Street in Ramona, the same street where he died.
