Ramona Child Airlifted to Hospital for Possible Asthma Attack Brought on by Santa Ana

A child that was suffering from a possible asthma attack and having trouble breathing was airlifted from Ramona to Children's Hospital on Saturday, according to Intermountain Fire and Rescue (IFR).

Mercy Air landed Saturday at the residence in the 28000 block of Highway 78 and transported the 8-year-old child.

"We see a lot more of that (asthma attacks) with the blowing dust and allergens the Santa Ana winds kick up," said Capt Adam Pollock, public information officer for IFR.
