Public Is Invited to Lunch and Demos at Intermountain Fire Appreciation Day

Firefighters welcome family, friends and the community to visit and see their equipment.

When there's a fire or accident in the backcountry, residents are used to seeing the blue and white of Intermountain Fire-Rescue Department.

On Sunday, the public will have a chance to show support at the Firefighter Appreciation Day at Station 85 on Highway 78. In return, firefighters will put on demonstrations, a barbecue lunch and games for children. The event will be from 2 to 5 p.m. and lunch will be served, free of charge, at 3 p.m.

The station is at 25858 Highway 78, near Pine Hill Egg Ranch.
