Patients Airlifted After Vehicle Crashes Into Home in the Country Estates
Authorities said no life-threatening injuries were sustained.
A vehicle crashed into a home in the San Diego Country Estates late Friday afternoon, resulting in two patients being airlifted out of town, Ramona Fire Station 81 said.
According to Capt. Jon Heggie, the cause of the accident was unknown, but both the driver and passenger were airlifted out to Palomar Medical Center. The life flights landed on the San Vicente Golf Course.
The Ramona Fire Department said both patients were not restrained and suffered lacerations to the face and possible back injuries. Neither suffered life-threatening injuries.

The accident took place at the 22900 block of San Vicente Road just after 4 p.m. on April 12.
Channel 10News reported the driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

Heggie said no one was in the home at the time of the accident, but significant damage was done to the structure and a building inspector was on the scene.
