No Burn Proclamation for San Diego County Monday

A Red Flag Warning is in effect for mountains and deserts from noon onward and a brush fire rages in East County.

Cal Fire issued a no-burn proclamation early Monday, which bans open burning or any campfires outside established campgrounds, due to "critical fire weather and acute dryness of vegetation."

A Red Flag Warning goes into effect in San Diego county at noon, due to strong winds, low humidity and expected high temperatures.

The proclamation also has been made due to a massive commitment of firefighting resources to a near Boulevard in East County, the agency stated.
