A motorcyclist was killed in a crash today in Borrego Springs.
The rider missed the turn on Montezuma Valley Road at Palm Canyon Drive about 3:15 p.m. and crashed into some rocks, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The eastbound lane was blocked because of the investigation into the crash and a traffic advisory was issued, the CHP reported.
Large trucks headed into the area were being turned around, but residents of Borrego Springs and Ranchita were allowed to enter, authorities said.
