Gunshot Victim Didn't Know Cause of Chest Pains; Suspect Seized in Ramona

Man reported to Pomerado Hospital in Poway after shooting on Magnolia Avenue in Ramona.

A man complaining of chest pain at Pomerado Hospital reportedly didn’t realize he had been shot. But authorities arrested a man in Ramona in connection with the Magnolia Avenue incident, according to U-T San Diego.

Scott Richard Mattson—who turned 40 on Friday—was booked into County Jail at 7:24 a.m. Sunday, and was being held on $50,000 bail, according to jail records.

Mattson was charged with assault with a firearm and faces arraignment at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at El Cajon Superior Court.
