839-Plant Marijuana Grow Operation Busted in Julian

The San Diego Narcotics Task Force arrests one man suspected of manning the "sophisticated" operation.

A sophisticated marijuana grow operation consisting of 839 plants within three large greenhouses and a main residence was discovered in Julian, authorities announced Wednesday.

Members of the San Diego Narcotics Task Force made the bust at 17875 Oak Lake Lane around 7:15 a.m. Sept. 25, according to San Diego County sheriff's Lt. Hank Turner. The seized plants weighed a total of about 600 pounds, he said in a statement released this morning.

Paul Hage Sedlock, 43, was arrested at the scene and later booked into San Diego Central Jail on suspicion of cultivation of marijuana and selling marijuana. The suspect also has criminal charges pending from other unrelated cases, Turner said without elaboration.
