2-Car Injury Accident Slows Traffic Down State Route 67

Santee Fire Dept. paramedics, other crews respond at Slaughterhouse Canyon Road before 5 p.m.

Traffic on southbound state Route 67 slowed during the evening commute amid a two-vehicle accident before 5 p.m. Thursday at Slaughterhouse Canyon Road.

A white Chevy truck, possibly a business vehicle with storage and a rack, lost its left front wheel, and a red sedan had its left side crushed. A man was treated at the scene.

Lakeside and Santee rescue crews and paramedics were at the accident, along with the California Highway Patrol, and the Santee Fire Department rushed an unknown number of victims down the hill.
