The Salk Science and Music Series Continues in 2014
The Salk Science and Music Series continues its remarkable Sunday evening performances that bring together virtuosos from the worlds of both music and science.
Each concert in the series will feature stunning performances by some of the hottest emerging classical and jazz musicians, as well as riveting talks about the latest scientific discoveries by the Institute’s world-renowned scientists.
The Salk Science and Music Series participants in 2014 include: PianistYoonie Han (2011 Fulbright Concerto Competition) and Ron Evans, Professor and Director, Gene Expression Laboratory, January 26, 2014; Pianist Joe Locke and Vibraphonist Geoffrey Keezer, with Tom Albright, Professor and Director, Vision Center Laboratory; February 23, 2014; Violinist Sean Lee (winner of the Paganini competition) and Pianist Karen Joy Davis, with Marc Montminy, Professor, Clayton Foundation, Laboratories for Peptide Biology, March 16, 2014; and Pianist Fei Fei Dong (Van Cliburn competition finalist), with Clodagh O’Shea, Associate Professor, Molecular and Cell Biology Laboratory, May 18, 2014.
