Our dad needs a kidney donor. Please feel free to Call or text us if you are interested in being a donor or know someone that would like to be a donor: 970-261-6669. We need to do a kidney transplant ASAP...You do not have to match his blood type. All medical costs are covered by his insurance..... We live in San Diego, California. He's been on dialysis for ten years now. The waiting list that he is on for a kidney will take another 4-5 years more and we only have a couple months to spare; because before three years he was diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy; basically his nerves are dieing from the feet up. This will lead to paralysis of the both of the legs and it would continue above the waist. Besides from that, there is a lot of muscle loss going on at a pretty fast pace due to the this disease. We do not want our dad to become paralyzed! Fortunately, his doctor said that if a kidney is transplanted in the next few months...the nerves damage would stop from progressing and our dad would most likely have another 10-15 years to live. And if a kidney isn't transplanted in the next few months, we are scared to even think what would happen.

Why does this remind me of gypsies and their scams?

Uremic neuropathy in end stage renal disease can cause paralysis not only of the limbs, but also of the diaphragm, which is essential in breathing. More than half of pts with end stage renal disease have neuropathy of the phrenic nerve , the nerve which tells the diaphram to contract. I assume, this gentleman must be on more than one transplant list... I hope so. Wait lists are years shorter at the U of Kentucky and also in Florida.
