Dianne Feinstein praises Bush Jr on NSA ,

Senate Intelligence Committee chair and California Democrat Dianne Feinstein praised President Obama’s proposed review of the National Security Agency’s collection of telephone and other records in a statement released with Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich., her counterpart who chairs the House Intelligence Committee. While proposing her own set of reforms, Feinstein overall has been a staunch defender of the program in spite of strong public opposition in California. She has also criticized the Obama administration for not fully informing her committee of the full scope of NSA activities after revelations that the U.S. was eavesdropping on German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s cell phone. As Comrade Garofoli has noted, Feinstein’s position on the NSA has probably cost her politically among California voters, with her latest Field Poll numbers at an all-time low.Feinstein is scheduled to appear on Meet the Press Sunday
