Obituary: Louis James Rivera Jr. Dies at 69
A Celebration of Louis' life will be held at Grace Community Church in Ramona on Monday, November 18, 2013, at 2pm.
On November 3, 2013, Louis James Rivera, Jr. (Louie) passed away peacefully at home after his year-long fight with non-Hodgkins lymphoma came to an end. He was surrounded with love by his wife, family and friends who said their goodbyes.
Born in Oakland, CA he and his wife of 47 years, Diane moved to Ramona, CA in June 2009.
Always an avid football fan, Louie enjoyed watching the Oakland Raider games. He also had a tremendous passion for baseball, he enjoyed being a coach for many years and was a big fan of the Oakland A’s team.
He was the oldest of four children and was preceded in death by his mother Alice Rivera (Dec.1984), father Louis J. Rivera Sr. (Dec 1999).
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Diane M. Rivera; daughter and son-in-law Stacey & Troy Alcorn; daughter Angel Rivera; son & daughter-in- law Louis III & Lori Rivera and 7 precious grandchildren; Jennifer, Tyler, Pieter, Ryann, A.J., Lizzie and Alexander.
A Celebration of Louis’ life will be held at Grace Community Church in Ramona on Monday, November 18, 2013, at 2pm.
