Katherine Anne Laws—who something—passed away on March 13 after a "brave battle" with cancer, according to Bonham Bros. & Stewart Mortuary.
Laws was 62.
Born in Lakeside, Laws moved to Ramona when she was in 8th grade, graduating from Ramona High School in 1969, where she met her husband of 43 years, Bob.
Laws spent her life being devoted to her kids, working as a stay-at-home mom and teacher’s aide with the Ramona School district for more than a decade. She was also involved with PTA, being a room mother and babysitting and caring for all of her grandchildren.
Laws and her husband enjoyed traveling, particularly to cities the Padres were playing.
A funeral for Laws will be held on March 23 at 11 a.m. at Nuevo Memory Gardens in Ramona. A reception to celebrate her life will follow immediately after at her son's home.
