Gary Mayer died September 19 at his Rialto home, according to Press Enterprise. He was 72.
Mayer was born in San Diego and attended Ramona High School.
He spent 38 years working with Caltrans and in years past was active in youth sports.
He is survived by his many family members, who suggest donations in his name at family suggests donations to the following organizations: Stand Up to Cancer and UCLA Neuro-Oncology Research.
