Arthur Gordon Gay, Navy Machinist and Ramona Retiree, Dies at 70

Arthur Gordon Gay, who retired to Ramona, died Jan. 6, according to an obituary at Legacy.com. He was 70.

Born in Albany, CA, he graduated from Placer High School, in Ophir, CA, and attended Sierra College. Arthur spent most of his career as a machinist and Chief Petty Officer in the Navy.

He retired to Ramona, married and had one son. The family had to evacuate their home for two wildfires that tore through the area. Arthur was a devout member of the Calvary Chapel of Ramona.

His family remembers him for his love of machines and tinkering, his sense of humor and love to talk.

Arthur is survived by his son, sister, brother-in-law and friends.
