'Recycle for Reading' Drive Coming to Ramona Library

An upcoming electronic recycling drive will benefit the Ramona Friends of the Library.

Did you pick up a new flat screen TV for the Super Bowl last month or get that new laptop or electronic gadget you wanted for Christmas?

The arrival of new electronics in your life is usually accompanied by the familiar “What do I do with old version?” dilemma.

The San Diego County Friends of the Library groups have a solution that will take those old electronics off your hands and benefit the libraries at the same time. Several San Diego County Library branches are participating in Recycle for Reading by hosting electronic recycling drives throughout the county.

Recycle for Reading proceeds go to each participating branch’s Friends of the Library group, which raises money for library materials and programs.  Events are held in partnership with All Green Electronics Recycling and other corporate sponsors.

County residents can drop off electronics—including TVs, computers, laptops, monitors, printers, etc.—for donation and/or recycling for free at the following Recycle for Reading events:
