Ramona 5th Annual Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention Walk

Everyone in the community, adults and children, are invited to attend Ramona's Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention Walk on Saturday, November 9, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ramona High School football field, 1401 Hanson Lane.

The event raises awareness about suicide and offers resources for prevention, help, and hope. The event is free. There will be a DJ, food, entertainment, raffles, and local bands. All proceeds from the event help to sponsor programs that address bullying and suicide prevention in Ramona schools.

Among 5 to 14 year olds, suicide is the fifth leading cause of death. Among 15 to 24 year olds, suicide is the third leading cause of death. The fastest-growing group completing suicide is children between the ages of 10 – 14. This rate has doubled in the last two decades.
