FREE TIRE RECYCLING DAY

Residents of Ramona and the surrounding areas can recycle their old tires July 19 at a “Tire Amnesty Day.”

The FREE tire recycling event will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ramona High School student parking lot at 1401 Hanson Lane in Ramona.  People will be able to recycle up to nine tires per vehicle at the event.

Tires must be relatively clean, and come from passenger vehicles. No commercial vehicle tires will be accepted. Contact the County’s Recycling hotline at 1-877-R-1-EARTH (1-877-713-2784) to request approval of loads of more than nine tires or for tire with rims.

For more information or to request approval for more than nine tires or for tires with rims, call the County’s Recycling and Household Hazardous Waste Program at 1-877-R-1-EARTH (1-877-713-2784) or visit www.WasteFreeSD.org
