Bike to Work - Let's Ride!

Let’s ride, San Diego! May is Bike to Work Month. Join thousands of riders
throughout the San Diego region on National Bike to Work Day, Friday, May 30. Whether you’re a new or experienced rider, participating in Bike to Work 2014 is a great way to save money, get fit, and be environmentally friendly. With more than 1,340 miles of bike ways in the region, commuting by pedal power can be fun and rewarding.

Register for Bike to Work Day, and log your bike trips in TripTracker at 511sd.com/iCommute, to be automatically entered to win one of many great prizes. Every time you bike to work and log your trips in May, you will be entered into weekly prize drawings throughout Bike to Work Month.

Explore your community on Bike to Work Day and stop by one of more than 90 pit stops conveniently located throughout the county to pick up your FREE t-shirt, snacks, and plenty of encouragement. Watch for pit stop location updates on the Bike to Work webpage and use the San Diego Regional Bike Map to plan your route.

Employers can get rolling too! Encourage your employer to join the Bike
to Work Corporate Challenge. Organizations will compete to have the highest percentage of employee ridership the week of Bike to Work Day, May 27 – 30. Corporate Challenge participants also can register for a free, on-site bike education class to get employees comfortable with riding; employees in the class can receive certificates for free bike tune-ups at participating retailers.
