Video Tutorial: How to Post an Announcement on Any Patch Site

This nifty video tutorial shows users of any Patch site to post an announcement, from full press releases and lost dogs, by using the tools available to all users on the Patch.

Here in Ramona, we, unfortunately, see many lost dogs. Luckily, Patch has a great platform residents can utilize to quickly help find their missing pooch.

It's called an "Announcement" and our Patch sites are designed in a way that is easy for users to post their own announcement without having to wait for the editor to post it for you.

It really is the best way to post your announcement or press release if you are a nonprofit agency, for profit agency, government body or other group to get your stuff on the Patch, instantly—like lost dogs.

Our Announcement page has a category called "Lost and Found," perfect for families who are keeping a dog they found safe under their home until its owners are located, or for families who want to put up a virtual flier for their missing four-legged family member. You can even upload pictures.

Once you post your Lost and Found Announcement, your Patch editor can share it on Ramona Patch's homepage and Facebook to help spread the word. It's an easy and efficient way to get lots of eyes on your information.

Patch Announcements also work well for press releases, birth announcements, obituaries, school awards and more—all without going through the editor.
