Shallow 3.5 Earthquake Hits SD: Did You Feel It?

The quake hit at 7:33 a.m.

Residents in Ramona reported light shaking Monday morning after a shallow earthquake hit the region.

Parts of San Diego County were rattled by the quake, which U.S. Geological Survey reported with a preliminary magnitude of 3.5.

Automated sensors recorded the quake at 7:33 a.m. about 12 miles southwest of Ocotillo Wells and 54 miles east-northeast of San Diego, according to the USGS. It was recorded at a depth of .062 mile. Residents in Ramona reported light shaking, and weak shaking was reported in Borrego Springs, Campo, Poway and Alpine, according to the USGS.
