Ann Braun comes to the foundation from Keck School of Medicine at USC.

Ann Braun, who has helped raise more than $500 million over the past decade in support of medical education, research and other causes, has been appointed Palomar Pomerado Health Foundation’s Chief Fundraising Officer. She starts on April 16.

Braun most recently served as the senior associate dean of Development and Alumni Relations at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, helping to raise more than $100 million in private support annually.

Prior to her position at the Keck School of Medicine, she was associate dean of Development and Alumni Affairs at the University of Florida College of Medicine. Her background includes positions as major gifts officer at the University of Michigan Medical School and at Berkshire Hathaway’s World Book Educational Products Company, where she managed the Michigan and Ohio sales divisions.

“I’m pleased we were able to attract someone with the exceptional talent and skills that Ann possesses,” Foundation Board Chairman John Forst stated in a news release. “The board and I look forward to working with someone of her exceptional caliber to continue to raise money to help us in building the healthcare system of the future.”

Braun joins the foundation during a history-making year in the Palomar Health district with the scheduled opening this summer of the new Palomar Medical Center in west Escondido.
