A magnitude-3.0 earthquake struck five miles north of Borrego Springs at 12:50 a.m., the U.S. Geological Survey reports.
There have been no reports of damage or injuries following the earthquake, says Lt. Kevin Menzies of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
A 4.7 magnitude quake shook Ramona last week around 10 a.m. on March 11. No injuries or damage were reported, but locals felt shaking, rolling and heard rumbling.
U.S.G.S. originally reported the 4.7 quake as a magnitude 5.2.
