In the pouring rain yesterday, Mr Schwaesdall sought out Greg to offer help to FORUS Roof Project. The owner of Ramona Roofing also has also generously offered his services too!. ROOF ROOF ROOF! .Friends of Ramona Unified Schools, ( FORUS) , a non-profit organization awaiting 501c3 status, is currently raising funds for repairing leaky roofs, which have been patched and repatched to no avail, in our local public schools. (RUSD is fixing the roofs at the preschool at Ramona Elementary and the locker rooms in Ramona HS this winter break... but they dont have enough funds to address all of the leaky roofs... up to 1/2 of the class rooms have stains on their ceilings due to water damage) Our FORUS inital fundraising goal is to raise $20K to have a roofing contractor repair the roofs that the maintenance staff at RUSD have been unable to fix. Eventually, if the public is supportive via donations, we would like to raise enough money to do much more to repair/replace roofs at our schools.
We would like to keep the donated funds here in Ramona and hire local roofing contractor(s) , willing and able to help. We'd like to start work now, in coordination with Ed Anderson, head of maintenance at RUSD. Although the fees may not be as much as your skills usually command, Your help will be greatly appreciated by our community.
