Ramona Certified Farmers' Market is already an impressively eclectic collection of art, gardening supplies, candles, solar ovens and food. Now, there's another reason to go: pony rides and a petting zoo, brought to you by MY Zoo 2 U.
The market is held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday, year-round, in the Kmart parking lot. This Saturday, the petting zoo will feature a tortoise, Great Dane, a rabbit and more.
The market currently has six California Certified Producers (farmers) and specialty items such as: fresh bakery breads, cookies, cobblers, cupcakes, kettle corn, lemonade shakers, cotton candy, seafood, Mexican food, Asian food, hummus and pita bread/chips, barbecue sauces, organic fair trade coffee, jams, jellies and local raw honey, fresh-cut herbs and handmade Julian teas, handmade goat milk soaps, bath scrubs and salts, plants, vegetable starts, worm castings, hand crafted jewelry and blown glass, yard art, solar ovens, hand made crochet, knit and personalized embroidery items, hand-woven baskets, all natural soy candles, fashion boutique and accessories and more.
