Open for Business: Starbucks

The international chain has opened its doors on Main Street.

Sure, most people love a Starbucks' frappuccino or some Pike Place roast, but until last week, Ramonans' access to the coffee giant was limited to a small space inside 's.

Now, the international chain also sits in a spacious building next to the at 1315 Main Street. The popular coffee shop opened Aug. 24 and even has a drive-thru for those rushing to school or work in the morning.

Ramona's Starbucks moves into town with mixed feelings from residents. Local coffee shop owner Nickie Daniels, of , said on Ramona Patch's Facebook page that she's not opposed to the Starbucks or worried of the competition the chain may bring her local business.

"There's a difference between a high quality coffee shop and a Starbucks," Daniels stated. "I feel blessed to be in a town that is so supportive of its small business owners."

Other residents expressed joy over the opening of the coffee chain, and were surprised that it was open already, as it was slated to open in the fall. Still, others said on Facebook that they would remain loyal to local favorites, like Daniels' Cup O Joe and Nora Seidl's .
