Holiday Trash Reminders

Here's Christmas tree recycling and regular service information.

With Christmas and New Years Day both falling on Saturdays, there will be no collection delays due to the holidays.

Even though the holidays bring discarded gift wrapping and product packaging, trash cans should not weigh more than 50 pounds, and trash bags should not exceed 25 pounds.

As for disposing of Christmas trees, there are three options:

  • Residents can break them down into 4-foot sections, bundle the pieces and leave them out on regular collection day.
  • Trees can be taken to Ramona Disposal, 324 Maple St., for recycling.
  • There will be two drop-off sites: Ramona High School and the Village Shopping Center. Trees will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 30-Jan. 2, and Jan. 8-9.
