Big 5 Opens for Business in Ramona

Shoppers check out the winter sports gear during the Thanksgiving weekend sale.

Ramona's long anticipated Big 5 sporting goods store opened at 1312 Main Street on Wednesday. 

It was a "soft opening" followed by the official opening at 5 a.m. the morning after Thanksgiving Day.

Patch took this photo Saturday night, as people checked out the guns, winter jackets, circular sleds, bicycles, shoes and sports and exercise equipment.

The store has a sale on through Sunday.
