[Updated] Hiker Falls, Slides 25 Feet at Three Sisters Falls

Ramona Fire Department/Cal Fire said the female hiker suffered minor injuries.

A 23-year-old female was transported to Palomar Hospital after falling about 25-30 feet at Three Sisters Falls, Ramona Fire Station 81 said.

The Sheriff's Department reported the call for help at 2:50 p.m. and dispatched a helicopter.

According to the fire department, the woman was short-hauled via Copter 10 (the Sheriff’s fire attack and rescue helicopter) to Station 81 after she fell "and/or slid" on the trail. She was transported via ambulance to Palomar with minor injuries, including scrapes and bruises.

The 23-year-old hiker had no broken bones, according to the department.

The Sheriff's Department dispatched a helicopter Friday afternoon for a possible hiker rescue at Three Sisters Falls.

Authorities said the call came in at 2:50 p.m., but it was unknown if the call was for the Ramona or Julian side of the Three Sisters Falls trail.

No other information on the hiker or the possible rescue was available.
