Miss Jones and The Leading Tones - Band Biography

Born in the sweltering heat of Ramona, CA, Miss Jones and The Leading Tones are a force to be reckoned with as we watch them rise to the top of the Soul/Jazz/Blues scene with their debut burlesque-eqsue act at Kenrix Sushi Bar. The band's performance merges Merissa Jones's sun-drenched vocals with uplifting pedal steel rhythms to create their most unique renditions of beloved oldies tunes to date. With standout tracks like "Ain't That Good News," the music of Miss Jones and The Leading Tones appeals to oldies fans and non-oldies fans alike.
Miss Jones and The Leading Tones – Daniel Cronin Jr, Elliot Ramsey, Reggie Costa and leading lady Merissa Jones – are able to deliver a sweet and bodacious soul sound with a sassy jazz and blues twist. Their line-up consists of songs written and performed by musicians such as Frank Sinatra, Sam Cooke and Percy Mayfield.
Miss Jones’ performance is that of style and sass - knowing exactly how to conjure talent and expression in a way that appeals to the eyes of many. Cronin’s simple and laid back drumming will keep the backbeat through to a strong finish. Ramsey’s intricate bass lines pull each song together. Costa’s beautifully rhythmic piano and guitar playing add the perfect “something special,”  and Jones’ vocal range and harmony twists will keep you watching her every move.
