Concert at Dos Picos Park Saturday: R&B, Rock and Salsa Amongst the Oak Groves

Rhythm and blues, classic rock and even salsa performed by the Bassics, Steal Dawn and Affrojazziacs.

County Parks and Recreation is hosting its first Concert in the Park series at Dos Picos Park in Ramona Saturday and this family-friendly event is sure to keep your toes-a- tapping.

You can expect to hear rhythm and blues, classic rock and even salsa performed by the following San Diego bands: the Bassics, Steal Dawn and Affrojazziacs. 

There will be arts and crafts for the kids, booths, food trucks and you can also buy chances for what’s called an Opportunity Drawing, a raffle of sorts with great prizes. The live music is scheduled to begin at noon and end at 5 p.m. The event itself is free and plentiful parking is available for $3 per vehicle.

Dos Picos is a 78-acre park set amongst oak groves up to 300-years-old and features an amphitheater, an expansive lawn, a pond, picnic tables, camp sites and restrooms. In short, Dos Picos is the perfect place to relax and listen to good music in the great outdoors.
