Veterans Day Closures in Ramona and San Diego County

The Ramona Library will be closed. County parks will be open. There will be no mail delivery. But, trash will be collected.

Courts and all San Diego county and state offices will be closed in observance of Veterans Day on Monday.

The Torrey Pines, Balboa Park and Mission Bay municipal golf courses will be open, but holiday rates will apply. Balboa Park will be open, but all public buildings will be closed.

Metropolitan Transit Service (MTS) buses and trolley will be operating on a regular weekday service schedule.

Because Veterans Day is a federal holiday, banks will be closed.

Garbage and recycling collection service in Ramona will be conducted on its normal schedule.

President Dwight Eisenhower dedicated Nov. 11 as Veterans Day in 1954 to be observed nationwide as a national holiday honoring the contributions of all veterans from every branch of the Armed Services.
