Ramona Fire Station Open House

Take the family to the local fire station for some fire fun.

Fire Prevention Week is culminating with a this Saturday at our local station No. 80.

The open house will be based around the Prevention Week theme, “Protect Your Family from Fire!” Awareness will be raised about the leading causes of home fires, like cooking, candles and electrical equipment, as 2,565 people died in home fires in 2009, according to the National Fire Prevention Association.

Aside from important fire information, families can get an up close and personal look at fire engines, fire helicopters and important fire equipment. Kids can meet our local heroes and spend the day with our firemen.
