Photo Gallery: Ramona's Main Street Turns All Treat, No Tricks

The Chamber of Commerce event was another success.

Ghouls, goblins and ghosts flocked Ramona's Main Street Wednesday evening for the annual Main Street Trick or Treat event.

The Ramona Chamber of Commerce-sponsored event provides a safe trick-or-treat environment for young kids with trusted candy distribution and natural light lighting the goodie-filled path.

Storefronts on Main Street decorated for the season and shop owners dressed in their scariest or most creative costumes. Kids of all ages went from store to store to collect their favorite sweets and treats.

Smokey the Bear was passing out candy, Packards was passing out coffee samples, The Combos were providing a rockin' soundtrack and kids were collectively having a good time.

Patch was there documenting the cute and unique costumes and families that dressed up together for the festivities. Did you make the gallery?

Sift through the fun pics and relive the night of tradition on Main Street!

I need to say that as we gave away candy, we held out the bowl full of small candies and not one kid grabbed a hand full. Everyone politely took one piece. I have never seen such a 100% good behavior example ever. The crowd "always" has the bad apple 10% except in this case. I am truly impressed with what I saw I guess a weighted sample was present? I do not know, but it was a pleasure to see local people being the wonderful thing they are.

But what about that Ramona's Plumber wearing an empty candy bowl on his head and carrying two ChiPins in costume.... too strange... ..Tootsie and Rolo said their favorite was the little preschooler in the feathery penguin costume... and also the big puppy at Laundyermutt who wore rabbit ears.... also all the waitresses dressed up at Nuevo Grill !

In the interest of "wellness", Vista Hill SmartCare and LAC handed out toys instead of candy. How pleased we were that the kids enjoyed them!

Tootsie and Rolo gave out sugar free candy ... we got some really good ones from the candy shop in the front of the Ramona Antique Mall.
