Photo Gallery: Eyes to the Skies at Ramona Airport Open House

Flying fanatics flocked to the Ramona Airport Saturday for the annual open house, sponsored by the County of San Diego.

The day featured classic and modern hot rods and big trucks as well as classic war birds that flew in formation.

Visitors were able to tour U.S. Forest Service operations, the airport control tower, and Classic Rotors (the helicopter museum.) There as also enjoyment for the kiddos with arts and crafts and Smokey the Bear.

Special guest Capt. Claude Rowe, one of the original Tuskegee Airmen of WWII fame, spoke to a crowd and answered questions about his career in the air.
