Pet of the Week: Athena

Athena is a 2-year-old spayed female pit bull mix, ID 61849.

Aptly named after the Greek Goddess of wisdom, this dog is also the ideal of athleticism! She loves to go hiking and chase tennis balls, and she’s also an expert at pulling people on skateboards.

Athena is smart and easy to teach, and she already knows the commands sit, come, leave it, wait, down and shake. Athena will bring endless fun and positive energy to her new home.

Athena is available for adoption at the Escondido Humane Society, 3450 E. Valley Parkway. Her $85 adoption fee includes spay, microchip, up-to-date vaccinations and vet exam.
