New Ramona Mural in the Works Shows Historic Commerce [PHOTOS]

The latest Ramona H.E.A.R.T. Mural will appear at Affordable Treasures on Main Street.

Artist Bob Teague is busy working in his studio on the latest mural for the Ramona H.E.A.R.T. Mural Project to be displayed on the wall of Affordable Treasures on Main Street.

This mural, the third to be put up around town since 2012, is a depiction of historic commerce in Ramona, featuring a horse and wagon. Teague is carefully replicating a painting done by Ramona artist Louise Shidner, with the approval of her trustees.

The mural is expected to be completed and installed in the next few weeks.

Two other murals are currently being developed, one for the Ramona Music Center and another on the wall of the Ramona Food and Clothes Closet.

The Ramona H.E.A.R.T. Mural Project’s mission is to encourage economic vitality by increasing tourism, promoting community pride, and celebrating our rich cultural heritage through an outstanding outdoor visual arts program. The program is sponsored by members of the Ramona Chamber of Commerce.
