Let It Snow: Upload Your Snow Photos

The National Weather Service said snow could fall in areas above 5,000 feet.

Baby, it's still cold outside.

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for mountain areas above 5,000 feet from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday. According to the agency, higher elevations were likely to have "a few inches" of snow accumulation.

"Snow is expected to be most widespread from around 10 a.m. through mid- afternoon," according to an NWS advisory. "Snow showers may linger through this evening, ending late tonight."

The National Weather Service is also warning residents to drive carefully in the snowy mountain conditions.

"Residents and travelers into higher elevations in the mountains should be prepared for hazardous driving conditions due to slick roads," forecasters said. "If possible, carry chains and take extra food and clothing."
